The 40th Thayer County Historical Society’s Fall Festival will be held on the museum complex grounds in Belvidere, Nebraska, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October6, 2013.
Theme for this festival is “TBD” featuring bridal gowns donated to the museum.
Special music will come from “TBD”.
The day will also feature crafts/ food/ music/ pioneer craft displays/ antique farm machinery/ cars/trucks/gas engines/ model railroad. A number of vendors will be on hand for crafts, pumpkins, china painters, farmer market, food booths.
Pioneer demonstrations will include blacksmithing, Rope making/ Horse shoeing and others.
The old country school will be in operation with a “schoolmarm.”
There will be a car show with classic cars.
The Hebron Chapter of the Eastern Star will be promoting the “CHIPS” program. This is a popular nation wide child identification program to help insure the safety of our children.
The Hebron Chapter of the Eastern Star will also be celebrating their 125th year of the organization in the Lodge Room in the three story brick building.
The special Sunday Dinner will begin at 11 a.m. in the Belvidere Community Hall loctaed next to the museum complx grounds featuring a choice of a sandwich, two sides, dessert featuring homemade pie or cake and dirnk for$7.50, kids and under $4.50. All proceeds from the lunch go to support the museum.
