Meetings are monthly, usually on

Mondays @  6:30     Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Annual Spring Dinner is

usually the 3rd. Monday in March.   Possibly, Mar. 17th  2025

 

The annual Blacksmith Hammer-In is

the last full weekend in June.    June 28th & 29th  2025

The Annual Fall Festival will be

the last Sunday of Sept.   Sept. 28th  2025

There is usually a member Christmas party in Dec.

No Christmas party is scheduled for 2024

SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES

WE HAVE HAD.

 

Valentine trees.

Easter at the Museum with egg hunt.

Annual Dinner with Monte McCord who spoke on the Hastings bank robbery.

Country outing to Corliss house and dugout.

Corn planted and picked by kids to shell and for them to grind.

Museum open all Memorial Weekend.  (3 days)

Increased displays in all buildings.

Treasures under the trees and ice cream social - 2 day event.

Summer picnic at the Bruning Ranch.

New sidewalk, benches, and other improvements.

Annual Fall Festival - displays, crafts, demonstrations, Car and tractor shows.

Quilt displays, and auctions.

Christmas trees and Nativity scene displays.

Visit our booth at the annual Thayer County Fair.

Our meetings are every 4 - 6 weeks, on Mondays, in the Annex Building.

An agenda ( to those with e-mail ) is sent out about 10 days prior to the meetings.

The purpose of the TCHS is to: collect, preserve, and display articles and information about Thayer County, and to arouse public interest, and provide education, about the collection, the county, and it's history.
