The south portion of the Open Machine Shed was added a few years ago. 

The north part was added in the summer of 2021.  A portion in the center is enclosed for a maintenance building.

The purpose of the TCHS is to: collect, preserve, and display articles and information about Thayer County, and to arouse public interest, and provide education, about the collection, the county, and it's history.
